03 April 2025 (Catbalogan City) β€” The 803rd Maneuver Company, Regional Force Mobile Battalion, led by Commander Police Major Tyrone Mark A. Cartalla, recently hosted the Local Amnesty Board Secretariat from Catbalogan City for an orientation on the amnesty program. To support the program’s wider dissemination, Jazmine Odyssa B. Lutao, PPO II, collaborated with the Philippine National Police team based at San Juanico Bridge, Tacloban, Leyte, with full support from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) Special Project Team.

This effort is part of the preparations for the upcoming large-scale processing and intake of initial amnesty applicants’ data, which is necessary for availing of the program. The National Amnesty Commission (NAC) activity received logistical support from the Local Amnesty Board, headed by Governor Sharee Ann T. Tan, and PRO8 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jay Cumigad. The goal is to enroll more applicants in the amnesty program and to reinforce the reintegration process under the Transformation Program.

OPAPRU co-chairs the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) and Amnesty Program (EAP) Cluster of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), and has recognized the National Amnesty Commission as a new cluster member.
