21 January, 2026 (Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro) – As the deadline for the acceptance of Amnesty Applications looms nearer in March 2026, the Local Amnesty Board of Cagayan de Oro (LAB CDO) intensifies its intake activities in its region of influence. This comes with the hope that more qualified applicants will be encouraged to avail of the government’s Amnesty Program before March 13, 2026 for Proclamation 404 and March 4, 2026 for Proclamations 403, 405 and 406.

On January 21, 2026, through the invitation of the Cagayan de Oro City Social Welfare & Development Office (CSWD), the LAB conducted an Orientation and intake activity at the Oro Kalandang Peace Center in Sitio Tambo, Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro. Submitting their applications for amnesty are eighty-three (83) β€œFriends Rescued” (FRs) who are staying at the Midland Valley Homes – an FR Housing community under the auspices of the CSWD.

The event was graced by LAB CDO Member and City Director of the CDO Police Office (COCPO) PCOL Dexter G. Paje, COL Manuel B. Estanilla – Commanding Officer of Task Force Oro as well as representatives from the OPAPRU and the 1st Special Forces Battalion PA. The IBP Misamis Oriental Chapter provided legal support and assistance.

These strengthened campaign initiatives was also rewarded with the application of thirty-six (36) FRs who willingly walked for six (6) hours from their hinterland barangay in Misamis Oriental until the camp of the 58th Infantry (Dimalulupig) Battalion PA in Claveria, so they can submit their documents to LAB CDO at the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division HQ in Camp Edilberto Evangelista on January 8, 2026.

These inspiring stories continue to resonate with resilience, hope, and the indomitable strength of the human spirit in the relentless pursuit of peace and healing.
