16 January, 2026 (Villaba, Leyte) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Tacloban successfully conducted its first amnesty orientation and application intake of the year in Villaba, Leyte, marking the start of a series of activities ahead of the application deadline. The event was held at the Municipal Function Hall through the support of the LGU of Villaba, Leyte.
The activity was made possible through the strong collaboration of LAB Tacloban and its partner agencies. The City Government of Tacloban provided meals and deployed lawyers and paralegals from the City Legal Office, while the Public Attorneyβs Office assigned a lawyer for notarization and legal assistance. The Philippine National Police Regional Office VIII extended transportation support for the LAB Secretariat and activity team. The 802nd Infantry Brigade and the 93rd Infantry Battalion supported the activity from planning to implementation, and Uswag Sinirangan Bisayas also provided additional assistance.
A total of twenty-three (23) new applicants were assisted during the activity. This successful initiative underscores LAB Taclobanβs commitment to informing and supporting eligible individuals in availing of the amnesty program as the application deadline approaches.
