15 January, 2026 (Davao City, Davao del Sur) β€” The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), led by City Director and LAB Davao Member PCol. Mannan C. Muarip, convened an inter-agency coordination meeting at DCPO’s Kapanalig Hall to strengthen the implementation of the government’s amnesty program.

Participants included representatives from the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, National Amnesty Commission–Local Amnesty Board Davao, OPAPRU Local Conflict Transformation–FISU, Peace 911 of the Davao City Government, and the Former Rebel’s people’s organization Kalinaw SEMR, Inc.

The meeting focused on expediting the submission and processing of amnesty applications of former rebels (FRs) affiliated with the CPP-NPA-NDF ahead of the March 13, 2026 deadline. LAB Davao Peace Program Officer III Cris M. Gaerlan briefed participants on the amnesty process, underscoring evaluation timelines, document requirements, and the purpose of the Affidavit of Admission of Guilt as a supporting requirement for amnesty applications.

PCol. Muarip proposed a one-stop amnesty program that would allow FRs to surrender, undergo deradicalization, complete documentary requirements, and apply for amnesty in a single venue and day. The proposal gained inter-agency support, with Peace 911 committing to draft the program design in coordination with the DCPO, and will seek support from the City Government.
