26 November 2025 (Tacloban, Leyte) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) in Tacloban City successfully convened its 7th Case Conference at the CCDLAO Office, Kanhuraw Hill, Tacloban City.
Present during the meeting were Col. Rico Amaro and Maj. NiΓ±o John L. Paner from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, PCol. Noelito Getigan from the Philippine National Police, and Atty. Ivy Ann Carba, who served as the Alternate Chairperson. Representatives from the City Legal Office were also in attendance, providing essential legal support to ensure that all proceedings adhered to due process and fairness.
During the conference, a total of six (6) amnesty applicants were formally reviewed and deliberated upon. In addition, three (3) new walk-in applicants were received and documented by the Secretariatβreflecting growing public engagement in the National Amnesty Program. These developments highlight the Boardβs continued commitment to justice, reconciliation, and the reintegration of former rebels into peaceful and productive civilian life.
The conference was efficiently facilitated by the LAB Secretariat, led by PPO III Bhea Janine Gozo, whose coordination contributed to the orderly and meaningful conduct of the proceedings.
This activity reaffirms the LABβs steadfast support for the National Amnesty Program and its ongoing efforts to promote peace, unity, and genuine healing in communities affected by past armed conflict.
