15 May 2026 (Davao City, Davao del Sur) β The Local Amnesty Board of Davao (LAB Davao) convened its 9th Conference on Friday, 15 May 2026, at the Taglucop Estate Vineyard and Winery in Barangay Tacunan, Davao City. The session focused on the evaluation and deliberation of qualified amnesty applicants, guided by established procedures to ensure a fair, impartial, and thorough assessment process.
Present during the conference were the primary members of LAB Davao: Regional Prosecutor for Region XI and LAB Davao Chairperson, Atty. Janet Grace B. Dalisay-Fabrero of the Department of Justice, together with alternate member Atty. Joseph M. Apao; Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)βDavao City Chapter President and LAB Davao Vice Chairperson, Atty. Ferdinand M. Taglucop, together with alternate member Atty. Cid Benedict D. Pabalan; and PCol. Peter B. Madria, City Director of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), represented by alternate member Capt. Don Preza of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The conference was held pursuant to a collaborative agreement reached during the previous session, wherein board members resolved to rotate hosting responsibilities among their respective offices. The venue was generously provided by LAB Davao Vice Chairperson and estate owner, Atty. Ferdinand βFerdieβ Taglucop.
A highlight of the conference was the official oathtaking of three newly designated alternate board members: PCol. Peter B. Madria, City Director of the DCPO, representing the Philippine National Police (PNP); IBP Treasurer Atty. Cid Benedict D. Pabalan; and Capt. Don Preza of the 1003rd Brigade, representing the AFP. Their oath was administered by DOJ Regional Prosecutor and LAB Davao Chairperson, Atty. Janet Grace B. Dalisay-Fabrero. Following the ceremony, the conference proceeded with the deliberation of amnesty applications.
Following the formal proceedings, conference participants were treated to a tasting of various wines produced by the Taglucop Winery using grapes grown in its own vineyard. The host also served a sumptuous early al fresco dinner, complemented by the scenic view of the setting sun over the vineyard, providing a relaxed and convivial atmosphere for fellowship among the participants.
The warm hospitality and well-organized venue provided by the host fostered a strong sense of unity and camaraderie among the participants. This continuing collaboration underscores the enduring commitment of LAB Davao members to public service, solidarity, and the overarching mission of the National Amnesty Commission to sustain peace and promote opportunities for renewed beginnings.
