14 April, 2026 (Tacloban City, Leyte) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Tacloban City successfully conducted its 8th Conference at the LAB Tacloban Office, CCDLAO Building, Kanhuraw Hill.
The meeting was attended by Alternate Chairperson Atty. Ivy Ann Carba, Col. Rico Amaro (AFP), and PCol. Noelito Getigan (PNP). Atty. Sheryl O. Arias (PAO) and legal staff from the City Legal Office also attended to provide guidance and ensure all proceedings observed due process.
During the session, the LAB Members deliberated on twelve (12) amnesty applications, reflecting its commitment to justice and the reintegration of former rebels. Facilitated by the LAB Secretariat under PPO III Bhea Janine Gozo, the conference reaffirmed the national governmentβs support for the amnesty program and its mission to promote peace and healing in conflict-affected communities.
