05 March, 2026 (Malaybalay, Bukidnon) – As the National Amnesty Commission (NAC) marks the countdown to 9 DAYS until the March 13, 2026 deadline for receiving amnesty applications from former members of the CPP NPA NDF under Proclamation No. 404, the Local Amnesty Board of Cagayan de Oro (LAB CDO) conducts another round of Orientation and Application Intake at the HQ of the 403rd (Peacemaker) Brigade in Camp Osito Bahian, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The Mass Intake was spearheaded by the 88th Infantry (Maringal) Battalion, 4ID PA under the command of LTC Arnold M. Bautista GSC (INF) PA with the theme β€œRenewing Lives, Rebuilding Futures”. The β€œFriends Rescued” (FRs) present came from the areas of San Fernando, Quezon, Talakag, Wao, Maramag, Cabanglasan and Pangantucan —all of the Province of Bukidnon. Also submitting their applications are FRs referred by the the 8TH IB and 89th IB PA.

The Provincial Legal Office of Bukidnon and the Public Attorney’s Office was on hand to provide legal support. Cash and food assistance was distributed by the Dept. Of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) 10.

The last quarter of 2025 until the current date saw a significant surge in amnesty applicants for LAB CDO, with the total applications received reaching a record 1,215 Amnesty Applicants: 1039 from former members of the CPP NPA NDF; 156 from the MILF and 20 from the RPMP RPA ABB. 807 of the applications from the CPP NPA NDF come from the Province of Bukidnon.

As the amnesty program inches closer to the application deadline, the Local Amnesty Boards (LABs) have intensified efforts in organizing intake activities, ensuring that all willing and qualified applicants will still have a chance to avail of this privilege, before the application window for Executive Order No. 47 finally comes to a close.
