04 March 2026 (Matuguinao, Samar) β The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan, Samar, issued 8 Safe Conduct Passes (SCPs) to βfriends rescuedβ (FRs) who had previously submitted amnesty applications.
The LAB Secretariat was joined by PLt Dante B Evangelista, Chief of Police of the Matuguinao MPS; Atty. Nancy Faye B. Bernardo from the Public Attorneyβs Office (PAO); 2nd Lieutenant Ricky Isiderio, CO of Alpha Company, 19IB; and Captain Jilmer Campos, CMO Officer of the 19th Infantry Battalion.
Prior to the distribution, the LAB Secretariat conducted a detailed briefing on SCP guidelines. Following the ceremonial issuance of the passes, the Secretariat provided a comprehensive overview of the government’s amnesty program and the upcoming March 13, 2026, application deadline for former members of the CPP-NPA-NDF.
Subsequently, 50 FRs filed amnesty applications and took their Oath of Allegiance before Atty. Bernardo. The LAB Secretariat concluded the event by expressing sincere appreciation to Hon. Aran D. Boller, Mayor of Matuguinao, for hosting the activity and for his continued support of the government’s amnesty program.
