03 March 2026 (Pinabacdao, Samar) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Catbalogan, Samar—in collaboration with the 46th Infantry “Peacemakers” Battalion—conducted an orientation and intake session for 45 “Friends Rescued” (FRs) from the municipalities of Villareal, Calbiga and Pinabacdao.

Key attendees included PCapt Nieto B Rarugal, OIC of the Pinabacdao Municipal Police Station; Atty. Jose Ivan Tan from the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO); 1st Lieutenant Greg Ashley A Inocencio, representative of the 46th Infantry Battalion; and Hon. Viannery D Mabag, Municipal Mayor of Pinabacdao.

During the session, the LAB Secretariat explained the government’s amnesty program, detailing the process, and clarified the specific crimes covered by the program and those that are excluded.

The 45 FRs took their Oath of Allegiance before Atty. Tan, who ensured all participants fully understood their commitment. The activity was made possible through the generosity of Mayor Mabag, who hosted the activity despite applicants arriving from various municipalities.
