18 February, 2026 (Butuan City) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Butuan City convened its second case conference on February 18, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol of Agusan del Norte.
The session was led by LAB Chairperson and Regional Prosecutor Atty. John S. Magdaraog. He was joined by fellow LAB members Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante (Governor of Agusan del Norte), Col. Monib T. Mamao (Deputy Brigade Commander, 402nd Brigade), PCol. Restituto P. Lacano, Jr. (Acting Director, Butuan City Police Office), and Atty. Hillary Olga B. Reserva (Secretary, IBP β Agusan del Norte).
The proceedings began with PCol. Lacano, Jr. taking his oath of office as an alternate member representing the Philippine National Police, administered by Atty. Magdaraog. Following the induction, the board reviewed and deliberated on 27 amnesty applications. During the session, applicants were given the opportunity to establish their qualifications, ensuring a fair and thorough evaluation process.
The LAB resolved to maintain a consistent schedule of conferences to expedite the submission of applications for final review by the National Amnesty Commission (NAC). This strategic effort aims to provide a clear and formal pathway for eligible individuals to resolve their legal status through the governmentβs amnesty program.
