13 February, 2026 (Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Koronadal, in partnership with the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) and the 37th Infantry Battalion, 6th Infantry Division, successfully conducted a Legal Case Management session and Amnesty Application Intake upon the request of Hon. Ronan Eugene Garcia, Municipal Mayor of Kalamansig.

Prior to the activity, LAB Koronadal attended a coordination meeting at the Office of the Mayor. Present during the meeting were the Region XII team of OPAPRU, the Chief of Police of Kalamansig, and Hon. Ronan Eugene Garcia, who presided over the session. The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration and ensuring the smooth implementation of the amnesty program in the municipality.

During the program proper, the LAB Secretariat was given the opportunity to explain the purpose, process, and objectives of the National Amnesty Commission and its amnesty program. Participants were thoroughly oriented on the benefits and legal implications of availing government amnesty.

A total of 62 applicants were successfully oriented and were able to complete their amnesty application during the activity.

The successful conduct of the orientation and intake reflects the strong commitment of the local government and partner agencies in supporting peacebuilding initiatives and reintegration efforts in the community.
