03 February, 2026 (Abuyog, Leyte) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Tacloban conducted an Amnesty Orientation and Application Intake at the Leyte Regional Prison in Abuyog, Leyte, in response to requests from the families of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) seeking assistance for their loved ones in applying for the amnesty program. Through this activity, a total of six (6) applications were received.

This activity was made possible through the support of various partner agencies, particularly the Public Attorney’s Office, which provided legal assistance and notarization services and clearly explained the crimes covered and not covered under the amnesty program. The Joint Task Group and Uswag Sinirangan Bisayas also extended their assistance and support, contributing to the success of the intake activity.

This initiative reflects the NAC’s continued commitment to making government programs more accessible and responsive to the needs of PDLs and their families.
