12 February, 2026 (Mati City, Davao Oriental) β€” Through the initiative of the 66th Infantry β€œKabalikat” Battalion, the Local Amnesty Board (LAB)–Davao Secretariat conducted a one-day amnesty intake activity at the 1001st Infantry β€œPag-Asa” Brigade Headquarters in Mati City. More than 100 former rebels filed their amnesty applications during the activity.

The program commenced with a courtesy call on Brigadier General Vince James Bantilan, Commander of the 1001st Infantry Brigade, joined by Lieutenant Colonel Louie Dondi P. Jabagat, Commanding Officer of the 66th Infantry Battalion. A coordination meeting followed to finalize the program flow and logistical arrangements.

The applicants are currently under the custodial care of the 66th Infantry Battalion in Mati City, the 67th Infantry Battalion in Baganga, Davao Oriental, and the 75th Infantry Battalion in Monkayo, Davao de Oro.

During the activity, applicants received an orientation on the Amnesty Program, completed the required documentation, and took both their oath of application and Oath of Allegiance. The oath was administered by Atty. Princess Melody L. Narcilla of the Public Attorney’s Office, who, together with Atty. Corina Jane L. Antiga, notarized the application forms.

The initiative supports the timely processing of applications under Proclamation No. 404 and ensures that qualified former CPP-NPA-NDF members meet the 13 March 2026 filing deadline set by the National Amnesty Commission.
