05 February, 2026 (Butuan City, Agusan del Norte) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Butuan conducted another successful amnesty orientation and intake activity at the Kagawasan143 Peace Center located at the 402nd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army, Bancasi, Butuan City, marking a key step in the government’s push for national reconciliation.

The event was made possible through the collaborative effort involving the of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Agusan del Norte, Kagawasan143 Peace Center, OPAPRU Caraga, Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (ADNPPO), 42nd Military Intelligence Company (42 MICo), and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 13.

Following the orientation, all 45 FRs voluntarily submitted their amnesty applications, paving the way for cleared criminal liabilities on past political offenses under Proclamation No. 404 s. 2023. This significant step by our FRs brings them to the path towards lasting peace, and reintegration.

LAB Butuan is continuously ramping up its intake activities across the Caraga Region ahead of the deadline on March 13, 2026.
