29 January, 2026 (Buenavista, Agusan del Norte) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Butuan facilitates another Amnesty Orientation and Intake Application for Friends Rescued (FR) from CPP-NPA-NDF at 23rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte on January 29, 2026.

During the activity, FRs from 23rd IB PA, and 42nd MICO attended the amnesty orientation and voluntarily applied for amnesty. A total of Forty (40) applicants Thirty-Five (35) FRs from 23rd IB, and Five (5) applicants from 42 MICO) submitted their amnesty application to the Secretariat of LAB Butuan.

Accordingly, this event was conducted through the collective efforts between the 23rd IB PA, 42nd MICO Kagawasan143 Peace Center, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Agusan del Norte, and OPAPRU Caraga.

As the deadline for filing of amnesty applications under Proclamation 404 on March 13, 2026 draws near, LAB Butuan continues to conduct intake activities in order to cater FR applicants throughout the CARAGA Region.
