Metro Manila, Philippines β The National Amnesty Commission (NAC) closed the year 2025 with another group of amnesty applications approved by His Excellency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. A new batch of seven (7) amnesty applications was granted by the President on 26 December 2025, following the first batch of nine (9) approved in September 2025. This brings the total number of approved amnesty applications to sixteen (16): fifteen (15) from former members of the Communist Party of the PhilippinesβNew Peopleβs ArmyβNational Democratic Front (CPPβNPAβNDF) and one (1) from a member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
In addition, the NAC recorded a total of 7,171 applications as of the end of the year, reflecting the growing interest in and trust of former combatants in the governmentβs amnesty program. These applications are broken down as follows:
β’ 5,755 applications from former members of the Communist Party of the PhilippinesβNew Peopleβs ArmyβNational Democratic Front (CPPβNPAβNDF);
β’ 928 from members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF);
β’ 396 from members of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF); and
β’ 92 from members of the Rebolusyonaryong Partido ng Manggagawa ng PilipinasβRevolutionary Proletarian ArmyβAlex Boncayao Brigade (RPM-P/RPA-ABB).
As the application deadlines draw nearer β 04 March 2026 for members of the MILF, MNLF, and RPM-P/RPA-ABB, and 13 March 2026 for former members of the CPPβNPAβNDF β the Commission urgently calls on those who wish to avail themselves of the governmentβs amnesty program to come forward. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply at the nearest Local Amnesty Boards (LABs) nationwide for an opportunity to begin a renewed life and a path toward reintegration into mainstream society.
