01 December, 2025 (Carmen, Surigao del Sur) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) of Butuan City conducted an Amnesty Orientation and Intake Activity in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Surigao del Sur, the 36th Infantry Battalion, and the 75th Infantry Battalion.

The activity was hosted by the 36th Infantry Battalion at their headquarters in Brgy. Puyat, Carmen, Surigao del Sur.

During the event, the LAB Butuan Secretariat successfully received twenty-one (21) amnesty applications from former rebels, referred to as Friends Rescued, who voluntarily submitted themselves for amnesty. This turnout reflects the growing trust in government reintegration programs and the continued commitment of partner agencies to support lasting peace and stability in the region.
