09 March, 2026 (Hinunangan, Southern Leyte) – The Local Amnesty Board (LAB) Tacloban facilitated an Amnesty Application Intake in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, alongside an orientation to guide potential applicants through the process. With support from the 93rd Infantry Battalion, the activity focused on reaching qualified individuals and helping them understand the requirements, procedures, and benefits of the government’s Amnesty Program.

Legal assistance was provided on-site to support applicants in completing their submissions. Lawyers from the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) clarified the scope of offenses covered by the program and assisted with document notarization, while the Tacloban City Legal Office administered the Oath of Allegiance. The local governments of Tacloban and Hinunangan supported the activity by providing transportation, meals, and the venue.

Uswag Sinirangan Bisayas Inc. also extended support throughout the activity. A total of 44 amnesty applications were successfully received, highlighting ongoing efforts to make the program more accessible through strong collaboration among government agencies, local government units, and partner organizations.
